For your information, you can use ground beef or ground pork in this chorizo recipe instead of ground pork. The chorizo can even be made using chicken or turkey ground up! Obviously, you won’t get an authentic experience if you do that. Nevertheless, I guarantee that it will taste fantastic.

It’s quick and easy to make this Mexican chorizo recipe, as I’ve mentioned several times now. This is the easiest way to cook chorizo that I’ve ever seen. To make this recipe, you simply need to follow these easy steps.
In terms of how much chorizo it makes, this recipe will produce about ½ cup of cooked chorizo. The recipe can easily be doubled or tripled, however, if you want more food. Let’s get right to it and find out how to do it!
Make The Fresh Chorizo
To start, add your ground pork to a large mixing bowl. Afterward, add the vinegar as well as the spices, including the paprika, taco seasoning, cumin, and garlic powder.
Make sure you wear clean gloves – or use your hands – if you are using your hands. Next, mix the seasoning into the meat well.
Cook The Chorizo
Then, add some oil to a skillet and heat it over medium-high heat once everything is nicely mixed.

Alternatively, you can freeze it for up to two months in a freezer-safe bag if you want to keep it for a longer period of time. When freezing your chorizo, flatten the bag while it is in the freezer. Here is the perfect recipe to cook chorizo every single time. Every bite of this homemade Mexican chorizo is jam-packed with flavors that are meaty and juicy. You can have this protein for breakfast or lunch, and it's ridiculously easy to make. Follow a few simple steps and you'll be done in 15 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tbsp. paprika
